MISSIONS

Deliver an enhanced experience and boost player engagement with Missions - the new

front-end gamification tool designed to reward players as they progress.

    What is Missions?

With operators continually looking for fresh ways to keep players engaged and offset potentially negative experiences, tools that can deliver rewards beyond game payouts offer clear new opportunities.

Missions gives operators the power to reward players based on their progression within a game or suite, in addition to acknowledging and addressing the impact of near misses or low payouts in feature or bonus rounds.

    How does it work?

Available across slot games and RNG table and card games, Missions technology builds on our Game Events functionality and adds a front-end element, allowing the player to observe their progress. Game Events that can be 'exposed' to marketing tools such as Player Journey and Leaderboards include bonus rounds and their results, and fixed jackpot wins. With the ability to see these events, operators can adapt their marketing journeys accordingly; for example, adjusting a player journey so that a zero win or low win to bet ratio in a bonus round results in a consolation prize, such as extra Free Spins.

However, while interventions based on Game Events have proved successful in trials, the disadvantage is that players are in the dark about their progress. Extra spins or a bonus round after several losing spins is a positive experience for the player, but there is nothing to indicate that this is a reward for progression, or anything to indicate the potential for further rewards. Player Journey can only intervene so often and, once a message has been sent, the only way a message can be replayed is via manual configuration.

    Reach Milestones

What Missions functionality offers is a front-end experience, where operators can create campaigns that reward players for reaching certain milestones and, crucially, players can observe and understand their progress.

Utilising the Playtech Engagement Hub, prizes - either physical or any kind of Playtech bonus - are awarded in real time for an instant impact on the player experience.

There are several different milestone options, including:

    • Achieving an in-game event (e.g. reaching a bonus, feature or jackpot round)

    • Placing bets across a single or a group of games - ideal for promoting new releases or additions to a suite

    • Hitting certain win multipliers

    Example Campaigns

Games Launches - Exploring Game Suites

To encourage cross-sell within a game suite, operators can group the games to enable an exploratory campaign, such as players being rewarded for placing X amount of bets on two or more games Such a campaign can both enhance the launch of a new title in a suite and engage players with the wider brand.

Bonus Hunter - Exploring Game Suites

A campaign that rewards players for triggering bonus rounds on several or every game within the suite, with the potential to increase rewards as players achieve more bonus rounds, can create a gamified experience, with a sense of ·completing' the game Such campaigns have been proven to increase game discovery.
